Overview

Kashmir region is often referred to as the 'Switzerland of India' and is one of the few places in the world that is untamed by modern society. Kashmir is predominately surrounded by breathtaking mountains accompanied by gorgeous narrow valleys. The region is home to the second highest peak in the world, Mount Godwin Austen which is famously referred to as K2 scaling at a whopping 28,251 ft. above sea level. 

Despite popular belief, Kashmir is not only subjected to extreme snowy weather but rather ranges from subtropical climate in the southern part of the region to traditional alpine conditions in the high altitude mountain areas. The natives in the areas are fluent in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Dogri which makes the destination especially desirable to travel along with the astonishing panoramic views which are ideal for family vacations as well as couple getaway/honeymoon.

Itinerary

On your arrival at the Srinagar International Airport, you will be taken for a 35 minutes’ drive through the heart of New Srinagar city, passing the Abdullah bridge which connects the banks of the Jhelum river. Visit the famous Mughal gardens of Nishat and Shalimar. Later drive for an hour of Shikara ride in the lake. Dinner and Overnight in hotel / houseboats

After breakfast in the morning, proceed towards Gulmarg. Enroute you get to see the beautiful Tangmarg town and drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 kilometers to Gulmarg. Arrive in Gulmarg early in the afternoon and check in at the hotel. Later, begin a short tour, boarding the Gondola cable car system (the 08 minutes ropeway). Descend back to Gulmarg after an hour and later indulge in some horse-riding. Stay overnight at hotel in Gulmarg.

After breakfast, we drive to Pahalgam via Pampore, Avantipura and the village of Bijbehara which remains famous as the bread basket of Kashmir. We switch from the national highway 1A at Khanabal and drive through the second largest city of Anantnag. From here the road turns scenic as we drive parallel on the Lidder River flowing from the opposite direction. In Pahalgam, check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. In Pahalgam, visit Betaab Valley and Chandanwari as well as take a horse riding trip to Baisaran meadows. After sightseeing around the mountain valley for most of the day, we will drive back to Srinagar and transfer to the hotel/ houseboat for overnight stay.

INR 2500/- or 25% 0f total payment to be paid at the time of the booking Remaining balance to be paid before 15 days to your departure
failing for payment before 15 days could result in cancellation of your tour.

To reserve a slot you need to pay INR 2500/person, at the time of booking the trip & balance to be paid 15 days before tour starts.
TravGen India holds no responsibility for road blocks or flight cancelled or any unforeseen situation happen on tour.
Child between 5 – 8 yrs is 30% of the total cost, Under without bed charges (no bed / extra mattress will be provided) and child above 8 yrs is considered adult (extra mattress will be provided)

  • Cancellation before 30 days of departure 80% of total trip cost is refundable

    Cancellation before 15 days of departure 50% of total trip cost is refundable

    Cancellation before 7 days of departure 30% of total trip cost is refundable

    Cancellation within 7 day to the departure date is non-refundable.
